ITALIAN ANISETTE COOKIES

 

4 cups flour

4 eggs (beaten)

4 tsp baking pdr

1 tsp vanilla

1 ¼ cup sugar

½ lb melted butter

1 ½  shot anisette

(sesame seeds optional)

(sifted powdered sugar and milk for frosting optional)

 

(Can be doubled or tripled)

Makes about 3 dozen cookies per recipe.

 

Sift four, baking pdr., and sugar together.

Beat eggs and vanilla and add to flour stirring with fork.

Add butter and mix.

Add anisette and mix well.

 

Roll in palms of hand and shape as you like.   If using sesame seeds, roll in seeds before shaping.

Bake 4250 F for 10 - 12 min.                     ( 4000F if hot oven)

 

Frost when cooled.
