TURKEY  STUFFING

 

2-3 loaves of bread (white with crust removed)

1 small head of celery (chopped)

2 med. onions (chopped)

1 stick of margarine or butter

Jimmy Dean regular sausage (1 lb)

5-7 eggs

2-3 tsp Bell’s Turkey Seasoning (or poultry seasoning)

1-2 tsp salt

(Sautéed mushrooms opt.)

 

Break up bread into small pieces.  (set aside)

Fry sausage and drain on paper.

Sauté celery and onions in butter until soft

Beat eggs lightly

 

To bread add onions and celery, mix.

Add salt and turkey seasoning, mix.

Add sausage, mix.

(Add mushrooms)

Add eggs and mix.  If dry, add more eggs.

 

Stuff turkey  OR

Turn into a greased (Crisco) casserole dish and bake covered 3500 F for 1 hour then uncover for ½ hour or so.
